DevWatch
Native macOS menu bar monitor for local development servers
github.com/martinhjartmyr/dev-watch (opens in a new tab) DevWatch is a native macOS menu bar app written in pure Swift, with zero third-party dependencies. It finds the Node, Bun, and Deno dev servers you have running and maps each one to its project folder, its listening port, and the command that started it. Click a port badge to open http://localhost:<PORT> in your browser, or kill a server and all of its child processes in one click.
The menu bar shows a live counter, muted when nothing runs and a green badge when something does. Each server entry turns cluttered command lines into something readable like vite --port 5173, with one-click copy for the command and folder path and a Reveal in Finder button. There is a kill-all button too, for when you want a clean slate.
It polls in the background every two seconds without blocking, stays under 20 MB RAM, and follows the system light and dark mode.
